Sit back and relax with Resumable File Upload
Never worry about losing your internet connection during large file uploads again!
Enjoy a new upload experience with Resumable File Upload, available for Chrome and Firefox users. No plugins or installation of anything required!
Resumable Upload means that if your internet connection breaks, Minus will wait until your connection returns and recover the upload where it left off . Whether you need to upload two megabytes or two gigabytes to Minus: just drag, drop, and relax.
Let us know what you think and please continue to share Minus.
Here are some details regarding the implementation of this feature: We were inspired by the js implementation from Dmitry. It turned out, however, that the flow control he implemented was not adaptive enough to simultaneously accommodate both low-latency/low bandwidth and high-latency/high-bandwidth connection. For resumeable uploads to work efficiently for both cases, we implemented TCP/IP-style congestion control, but over http POST requests instead of UDP packet sends.

Go into Settings page and setup username/password, is best way to go.
Or you can update your email address in Settings page first and then do “Forgot password” to reset it. Username should be your profile name.

Thanks Manish. Yes we may do so in the near future
Something we’ve talked about amongst the team for sure.

just few months ago, I decided not to use Minus for uploading and sharing my trip videos simply because there is no resumable function. And today, I will come back to Minus and again this is what I’ve been waiting for!!!!
PS: PC client can be much better man! so

John Xie

Desktop application does not support this at the moment unfortunately.
Excellent feature.
I too expected min.us to vanish quickly (or start shoving intrusive ads everywhere) but all I can say is I’ve been pleasantly surprised by what this site has had and continues to offer. The fact that you are constantly improving it with features like this is even more impressive.
How do you stay afloat? I don’t see any ads, nor premium accounts, which are both things I’m amazingly grateful for… but it makes me wonder.
