That’s all great, but I’d rather see you spend your efforts making it possible to upload files over 500 MB.

You can upload files up to 2 GB each. The desktop application is most reliable for large uploads, be sure to try it on http://minus.com/pages/tools

Thanks, the desktop app seems to be handling big files well.
BTW, is there a reason you call files folders and folders galleries?

Folders are folders. Where do you see the term “Galleries” ? We’ll have to fix that
I left this post on forum yesterday but couldn’t get an answer. Here is a copy of my post: “Hi. About the update on Firefox(Minus 1.7): It looks great, capturing the page and editing is amazing. But core functions are missing which your first release had.
For example Upload A File doesn’t exist anymore. I can’t upload files from desktop. I don’t want to use both extension and desktop app. I want my extension to be able to upload files from my computer. I think this a core feature which you should NOT remove.
And also, we can’t just right click a picture on a web page and click Upload to Minus anymore. You guys removed that too. Please tell me why. Right clicking and uploading is a core feature for minus, isn’t it? Now only thing this extension does, is capturing the page and editing. The ONLY thing. Minus became much more than a capture tool I think. And you shouldn’t remove features like this. Please bring those back.
And one more thing: It has a Remember Me option but it doesn’t remember me. When I restart my browser, it’s asking me to sign in again.
And when there is special characters in password like * or/and &, it says wrong password, even though it’s not. ”
Your first release was very buggy and wasn’t properly working as I recall, so I don’t know if you did this on purpose but this Firefox extension is not doing much thing. Capture-edit and upload? We have 10 gb of space, we can upload very large files, we can upload any format of files but only thing this extension does, capture-edit and upload.
Want:
- Right click-uploading and adding that upload to a existing gallery or creating new one for it. Would be cool to get links in little alert box.
- Selecting an image(s) or file(s) from computer and uploading to a existing gallery or creating new one for it. Would be cool to get links in little alert box.
- Remember Me option to always remember me. Even if I close my browser. Because it didn’t work for Firefox when I tried it.
- Password bug to be fixed. I’d like to use special characters in my password.

Hi Tyler
Thanks so much for the detailed comment. Let me address your main concerns below.
1) We will look into adding back “Upload a File” by browse feature into the extension. However you can easily do so by visiting http://minus.com as well in the browser
2) Right click on image to upload to Minus still works. Please uninstall and reinstall the extension (latest version) from http://minus.com/pages/tools – maybe try restarting your browser.
3) That’z bizarre. Will investigate the “Login” issue. Please upgrade your browser to latest version as well.
4) The password bug seems strange, we’ll definitely investigate as well!
Thanks and really appreciate the detailed reports!
Cheers

Hi John. Thank you for the answers.
But Upload to Minus button is not exist for Firefox. I removed and reinstalled but didn’t work. I created new clean profile for Firefox and tried with that but it didn’t show up on that either.
I don’t think I’m alone on this. This guy on my feedback post asks for the Upload to Minus button: http://feedback.minus.com/topic/61050-missing-features-in-firefox-extension/
There is no Upload to Minus in the context menu. Here is the screen shot with the clean Firefox profile and Minus extension: http://i.minus.com/jNFeqpoH9Cqya.jpg

Missed the comment.
Hey, it would also be cool to edit image we upload from right click or desktop.
Sorry for the spam like comments.
Just looking for a new image site to stay for good.

Nice tool! Can you add a tool to draw straight lines and lines with arrow heads? Thanks!

Thanks !
Glad you like it. We’ll definitely look into that, stay tuned.
You’re doing truly great job, but… You’ve beautiful squared thumbnails, though the buttons are too much rounded. Is it possible to reduce to curves? 2 or at least 2.5px could be ideal, I think. Fx in version 9 reduced its curves to 2.5px and Chrome’s menu is even more squared. Just my opinion as “feedback.”

Hi again. I see you updated Minus for Firefox. Now we can see Upload to Minus button on context menu. Thank you so much.
One more thing: It creates a new folder for it. We can’t upload it to existing folder. It would be great to upload it to existing folder.
Thank you again.

Can you try removing any # and @ irregular signs from the password and try again?

I do not have any # or @ in my pass (I would not change even if there is, just for a Chrome extension)

Can you please email info@minus.com your username and we’ll investigate?
This is bizarre. If you can provide password be great as well.
Alternatively you can try changing your current password from the website first.
this is cool and all, but what about an app for webOS and touchpad?

Thank you, but the extension requested version of Firefox 11.0a1 and says that I’m using Firefox 3.6.13. But, I’m using Firefox 8.0. In general, I can not use an extension Minus

Hi
Can you try changing your password to letters and numbers only, and then try signing into Chrome extension? It may be due to some characters in the password causing the issue.
Cheers

ps When firefox will work, the extension button is not pressed. Restart Firefox helps.

What about a minus extension for Opera?
John Xie
January 9th, 2012 at 11:02 am
We had a running demo of it for Opera but it is quite difficult to get things working properly for Opera.
We may have one soon though, stay tuned!
If you need a beta tester for the Opera extension I’m in!

Definitely
In the mean time feel free to try our other apps on http://minus.com/pages/tools and please help us spread the word!
I really do like the tool but the previously mentioned issue still persists. Currently the addon is unusable in Chrome on Windows 7 (x64). The dropdown selection of folders gets stuck in the loading state. It also seems that taking a screenshot of a webpage with ‘edit before upload’ disabled fails even though the progress bar moves toward the end.

Thank you for reporting, we will look into updating this asap!
Hi guys.
Question:
Is it normal when pressing “@” key (Alt gr + V) in Firefox Minus Add-on take screenshot of actual Firefox tab? How to disable this?
John Xie
May 6th, 2012 at 11:17 pm
Yes it’s normal I believe we have few shortcuts. You can click on the Minus icon and change the shortcuts to something else.

May 10th, 2012 at 3:26 pm
Thanks John but i don’t see anything about this in add-on. Please be specific. Thanks!
One more question,
i’m logged in minus.com and when i want upload images to specific folder there is no folder on the list. And yes, i have folders in my account.
Check this picture:

This might be a bug, if the folders show up in the website Dashboard -> My Uploads then you should be fine. We’ll work on fixing this bug soon.
Sorry for second question. I’m not signed in Firefox add-on.
Everything seems to be ok. Please, answer on first question.
