I cannot click on “share”. Where is the embed code for my gallery (http://min.us/mvoVild) ?
Embed doesn’t work in WordPress.com
Hi Gene,
Click on “Share” under the photo to get the embed code. Not the gallery menu in right side
Cheers
Hi Rebkin,
You need to paste the code in “HTML” editing mode, not VISUAL editing mode.
Please let me know if that works.
Cheers
Hello,
thanks for this welcomed update
is it possible to have the gallery view as default (perhaps adjustable in settings)?
kris
Wow. Minus just keeps getting better. I have been using Minus for online proofing for my photography, and now with the embed feature, I can have my clients preview their photos on my site. I think the only thing I still would love to see happen would be the maximum files upped from 50. I would even pay for this.
Hi Kris,
No problem. Which view did you want as default? Default right now is “Linear view”. We may look into enabling saving your default view though.
Cheers
Hi Cyler,
Thanks a bunch! We will definitely increase the item count from 50 to 100 soon in next update, stay tuned!
For now, please help us spread the word, share your Minus profiles and more, everything helps!
Cheers
Hi John,
Gallery View as default would be great
Thanks….
kris
Just tried to embed a gallery on Posterous. Works up to a point but the size of the frame is odd and it seems to have embedded access to our entire minUs account. Am I doing something wrong?
Hi Kris, Will do, stay tuned!
Hi Jon,
The width of the embed gallery can’t be very very small so yes. We are going to update it soon, feel free to embed it now, it’ll work even better soon.
As for the “Access to entire Minus account”, can you elaborate? It should not do that at all. Your minus account such as http://min.us/u/john only shows Galleries you published.
Cheers
I just wish you guys would bump that gallery limit up to 100. Great new features though.
Hi Nicholai,
That’s coming next
And thanks again for your support!
Hey John, Gallery is a great update but here are my views on it:
1. This actually looks like a gallery in iFrame to me. Could be better if only the gallery is embedded. I mean, if I click on images, it should open in a new tab and not in the frame.
2. Scrolling with mousewheel is a good idea but the page scrolls along with the gallery images too.
3. I’ve been looking for an image gallery script like this for wordpress since long. Features like Full screen view etc are nowhere to be seen in any plugin. It would be great if you add it.
4. Lastly, better Design. Like the image captions need a better design. Like, a transparent black background or something like that.
Regards,
Saket
“As for the “Access to entire Minus account”, can you elaborate? It should not do that at all. Your minus account such as http://min.us/u/john only shows Galleries you published.”
What I mean is rather than just say showing the gallery of bird photos, I can still click on the link to Timeline and see all the other galleries. Think I echo what Saket says and it would be better if only the one gallery was embedded.
Thanks for MinUs anyway – great tool.
Hi Saket,
Thanks for the detailed comment!
1) We will do that soon
It will open the image in new tab when you click on it.
2) That is good point, will try to fix that.
3) Do you mean building a WordPress plugin? We do not have the resources to do so now, but if anyone can help us make that happen, please have them contact me john@min.us
4) Agreed, can you show me some mockups/detailed ideas if you have? Please feel free to email me as well !
Cheers and thanks again Saket!
Hi Jon P,
I see what you mean. We will tweak this in next release, but feel free to just start embedding now, we’ll update it as it goes to make it a better experience!
Thanks
I use MinUs quite a lot with Corkboard but I’ve noticed recently that photos from Minus no longer show up when their URL is pasted into a Corkboard sticky. Any idea why it’s suddenly stopped working? Image URls from other sites work fine on Corkboard.
Can you give me a sample URL? That is bizarre.
Thanks!
Hi!
Is there a possibility to get embeded code for the gris view ?
Tks for your answer
